This 20-year old book, the first in a loooong series, was recommended to me by Stephanie at Fusionary. She told me once I’d read it I could “join her club.” Then, when I mentioned at the company bowling party that I had bought it but not read it, she said “I’m not going to talk books with you until you’ve read it.” Well, damn, girl. So, I did.  Surprise! It’s a time-travel romance!! I had no idea. 21st-century Claire finds herself in 18th-century Scotland and gets it on with Jaime. Fun. Is it fair to say improbable? So much murder and mayhem, with tiny blades tucked in voluminous dresses. But next time I’m going to the beach, I may find the next one. For fun.

Showtime has optioned the story and starts shooting – in Scotland – in October. I’ll keep you posted!
