I have had this book for a year. I took it from my mother-in-law’s house along with abut 10 others that I added to the next of the giant bookworm in our living room (I am the worm). Something about the cover, perhaps the reminder that this book had been Made Into A Movie, put me off it. So picking it up this week and finding out how good it is has been extra sweet. I forgot how much I love journalism. Steve Lopez is a columnist for the LA Times and his writing is so streamlined and easy to read you forget someone had to write it. Damn he’s good! Way to go Steve Lopez for telling such a great story.
