Got this as part of my Book of The Month club membership. Strange and something I wouldn’t normally choose for myself which I suppose is the point. Told as a series of interviews between a scientist, a linguist, and 2 military pilots and a mystery person who seems to be orchestrating it all, this is the story of an alien weapon found in pieces across the earth and of the characters attempts to understand and use it.
