Mr. and Mrs. Jha find themselves in middle age suddenly rich enough to leave the neighborhood in which they raised their son Rupak, now failing out of his MBA program in the US. Mr. Jha is embracing his new status with crystal-covered sofas and fancy track suits while his wife is mistaken by the neighbors for a maid. This was a light, easy read but not frothy — memorable for the look into a different culture and for the humor and emotion Diksha Basu brings to each character.
