The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend

I love this book. I have no idea why I put a hold on it. Sara comes from Sweden to visit her pen pal , Amy from Iowa. Amy has died and Sara finds herself immediately ensconced in Amy’s house at the behest of the funeral attendees, the townspeople Amy has written about to Sara for two years. With a two-month visa and unhappy life back in Sweden including recent closing of the bookstore where she worked, Sara stays and opens a “book shop” in the town using Amy’s books. Ok, so the main character is named Sara. She is a giant book nerd. A sloppy, welcoming of all kinds book lover.  Yeah, I liked this book a LOT. I just wanted to curl up with it endlessly. The ending introduced an immigration officer and plot that I thought interrupted some perfectly good romance, but hey!  Bivald’s never written a book before and I still haven’t. So, thank you Katerina, for the town of Broken Wheel.
