No Parking At The End of Times

Abigail and her twin brother Aaron are living in a van in San Francisco with their parents who have traveled across the country to prepare for the end of the world with Brother John.  The end of the world comes and goes and Abby and Aaron have to grapple with the fact that their parents will not give up and let them return to their home in Ohio.  I really liked this story but didn’t care for the first person narration.  I found it very fragmented and distracting.  But the emotion of teen-aged children facing their parents’ fragility and even obsession was very touching and nuanced.
