Three Mothers by Sonia Lambert. Told by Helene in 1945, her daughter Vera in 1972, and her granddaughter Susie in 1994. Dramatic plot lines, emotionally satisfying, and amazing insights into things I know (giving birth, first year with a baby) and things I don’t (divorce, losing your mother).  Lambert has written nothing else and doesn’t come up in a Google search. This makes me want to write her a fan note. The proof I liked this book is that I bought a copy after I was done in order to own the 5 pages that I dog-eared on my library copy.
