Never read a Ken Follett book. Jill recommended this one to me and I see why he is a best-seller. This is the kind of book that reads like a movie: thrilling, swift, sure, vibrant characters. The Jackdaws are a team of French-speaking Englishwomen tasked with blowing up a critical Nazi telephone exchange as the Allies prepare for the final invasion. A great way to spend a Saturday.
