Olive Kitteridge

Whew.  This one is a hard read:  short interwoven stories about a coastal Maine town and its inhabitants, mainly angry Olive Kitteridge.  Strout goes so deeply into her characters loneliness and pain.  OUCH.  When Olive’s son, Christopher moves across the country and stops calling, I thought I might not be able to finish the book.
