Stuff: Compulsive Hoarding and the Meaning of Things

I recently read a workbook composed by these authors for people struggling with compulsive hoarding disorder that I found so thoughtful and compassionate.  The fact is that people really, really suffer with this disorder and rarely find their way to any sort of healthy lifestyle.  This particular book, by Steketee and Frost, who find themselves the experts in this very new field of study, is a little like an Oliver Sacks book, ruminating on the psychology of the disorder, the philosophy of things, all interspersed with poignant stories of patients with whom they’ve worked.
