Heard Gene Yang speak at the Calvin Writers’ Festival years ago after having loved American Born Chinese.  More amazing drawing, color, religious themes, cultural tensions, children becoming adults in the midst of all of it.  He really is gifted — not just a great artist but a profound storyteller.
